PHY01 - Ikonic "Light" Jumping Pony Saddle
The "Light" hybrid pony saddle PHY01 designed by Ikonic is technically based on the pony saddle from the Ikonic "Evolution" line.
Therefore, this saddle benefits from all the improvements of the “Evolution” pony saddle, twist of the tree is even narrower and allows children to get more into the saddle, the flaps are soft so that children can have more contact and grip.
The purpose of this saddle is really to help children find their position while being able to relax, which will help them for the rest of their life as a rider.
We want all riders to perform their sport at all levels by taking advantage of a saddle made of materials of a high-quality and technically accomplished while remaining at an affordable price.
This saddle is equipped with a system of interchangeable blocks sold separately. These are fixed by velcro which allows either to change them or to place them according to what is possible and what the rider will prefer.
This new saddle is still faithful to the habitual specificities of the Ikonic brand!
There is an easily interchangeable gusset system, panels refillable with natural wool for a perfect adjustment, large panels to distribute the pressure, integrated underflaps including the cut-out to improve the lateral contact, a broad 3-points girthing allowing a distribution of the traction to place the saddle correctly, a wide pommel opening at the withers to avoid any "pinching".
Furthermore you can customize the rear piping which will always match with the stirrup keeper.
Maintenance Care Advice
Ikonic saddles use natural leathers which must be treated regularly with appropriate maintenance care products that provide a cleansing and moisturising effect in order to preserve their beauty and suppleness.
Attention! The hybrid saddle is partially made of synthetic materials. It is therefore normal that some parts do not absorb products. It is thus not useful to try to oil the synthetic parts.
Prior to first use, the leather parts of a new Ikonic saddle should be entirely treated at least once with Ikonic leather oil. This nourishes the leather and creates a protective barrier which will improve the patina of the leathers to assist with reducing the potential for any excessive wear.
The hybrid saddle can be maintained similarly to saddles with lined flaps, therefore we advise not to oil excessively; it is preferable to use cleaning cream or Ikonic glycerin soap, as excessive nourishing of supple leathers with oil makes the fibres "swell" and the supple leather will then lose its patina and resistance to wear.
The synthetic parts of the hybrid saddle can be easily cleaned, using the same sponge as the one used to apply the glycerine soap.
